Just tell me to quit worrying...

She still uses her arms to hold herself up while sitting, even then it looks like she is having trouble, she practically lays down in between her legs. Gretchyn can sit just fine without support. I know I shouldn't compare them but it's hard not to, as you all know. In every other area Geneva is doing great. She can crawl with her belly up off the floor, she can go from crawling to sitting, she pulls herself up on things-today she even held on with only 1 hand!!-she is starting to babble a lot, she can feed herself finger foods, she just can't sit without support. I know I shouldn't worry, and all kids hit milestones at different times. I feel silly for even voicing my concern about it but I can't help but worry.

I need some words of encouragement and I need you all to tell me to stop worrying about this.

Anyway, thanks for 'listening' to me.

I don't know Ronda, if she is doing all of those other things, like crawling, pulling up, I doubt there is anything to be concerned with. :hug99: Does she seem to have low muscle tone through that area? Floppy at all?

No, she's not really floppy at all. She actually can stand up better than Gretchyn can when she's holding onto things. And her muscle tone seems okay to me. :unknw:

Try not to worry, I know easier said than done. But Faith used to sit the same way until just recently.

Please don't worry, because if YOURE worried, then I definately have to be worried, and I don't want to worry!!

Neither of my girls sit up all that well yet. They're ok as long as they're still, but as soon as they get excited about something or turn their head fast, they flop right over - bang! --

I figure they can crawl pretty well and roll everywhere and stand (but not yet pull themselves up), so things must be ok.

    So don't worry!!

Oh don't worry, she's doing SO much in other areas and sounds like she's just not ready to sit totally on her own. I know it is so hard NOT to compare them, but if you only had one baby, you wouldn't know any different; your just fortunate to have 2 and see the difference with how we all develop at different paces. Be patient and she'll get there when she's ready.
