not really but my mom showed me something that has helped. we are on cereal now and i put the cereal in a little cup and with one had i hold the cup and hold their hands down and the other hand is the spoon to feed them. the cup is small enough that i can hold it to get the food while still hold their hands down. It helps a little but they still get food all over their face and some on the bib. My one likes to squirm the whole time. lol

Not really, I just keep taking their bibs/hands back out of their mouths as much as I can. And make sure that whatever they are wearing, I'm planning on changing them anyways! :p

Aside from tying their hands to the chair? Just kidding! :rotflmbo: I gave my kids spoons to hold and banging them on the tray or putting those in their mouth helped a bit.

All of the other Mom's are right. There is just no way to stop the messes. My girls are 8 months old and been eating cereal/baby food since about 5 months and I still dread it. It's a hassle and a pain, but very important to their little bodies.

    Good luck. :)
