So DH was layed off by his SD (nice of him by the way....) Anyways, since then, I have been putting in apps for DH left and right online while he sits and watches TV and gets pissed at me b/c i tell him to go out and find a job. So....we have talked to our landlord who we're pretty good friends with and DH is doing some remodleling to the empty apartments. Sinnce he's started this, he's not getting money from him but money off of rent. That's fine with me but....I borrowed 50$ from my parents for gas money the other day - we put 20 in DH's car and 20 in mine and had 10 left over that I used for bread. So....now whenever DH wants to go soemwhere - IE he's at walmart now getting more paint for the landlord...he uses my car...and lets his car sit there with a full tank of gas in it and runs mine out. Nice of him taht way when he finally does go back to work, I'm stuck here not able to go anywhere with the kids.... Just ticked me off...i told him to take his car and he said "honey i need that gas for work" and I 'm thinking WHAT WORK? Granted he just got a job that will start in two weeks but that's another story. I"m talking about NOW.....gas for me to go to the grocery store....and i have the suv 4 door and he's got teh sporty car....the boys only fit in the suv so guess i'm screwed on running out his gas. I"m just ticked off aobut this and needed to vent to someone....thanks ladies....

If he's getting stuff for remodeling, its probably not the best choice to lug it around in a sports car. Not saying it doesn't suck he used your gas, just that some things are better suited to be moved in an SUV. If he was just running out to grab little things, then phewy on him. We have a sporty car at our house, and there is no way I'd be getting a can of paint with it...I'd use our truck.

Maybe next time hang on to half your gas $$ so when he runs it out you aren't stranded...or tell him your vehicle gets a bigger share next time since it gets used more and uses more gas anyhow.

I've had a Cavalier Coupe before & I know exactly what the Z24 is. I used to fit a helluva lot more than a 2-step tall ladder and some paint brushes in that thing. I'm actually chuckling over here at the thought of those things not fitting in there. I always just flopped the back seat down and ran tall things through the trunk (not that a 2-step ladder qualifies as tall). Shame on him for using the big vehicle to do that trip. Does he realize that by driving the big vehicle he's actually costing the family more $$ than he would by taking the smaller car? (Assuming $$ might be a little tight since he's out of work, no toe-stepping intended)
