I keep watching these Baby Story shows and wonder if anyone taping the show ever bothers to step in and give advice? Like... no, your 3 day old baby is not crying because she wants the car seat straps to be loose, she is crying because you put her in a car seat for the first time! And no, waiting 24 hours of no eating, peeing or pooping is not a good idea before you call a lactation consultant for advice!

Ugh, I can't handle some of these shows... I should go do something else. I should be working or something, it stinks that my job was one that wasn't conducive to keeping me working longer.

Oh, and the new car seat guidelines that came out that say to leave babies rear facing until 2 or the end of their height and weight limits are starting conversations with my Facebook friends that make me really angry. I can understand hearing that you couldn't afford the car seat that let your really tall child rear face much past one and the guidelines weren't out yet so you didn't think anything of it. I can not handle it when someone says they turned their NINE MONTH OLD forward facing because she was over 20 pounds and thought it would be more comfy for her!

I did turn my daughter earlier than I wanted to, she was 21 months old and had just gotten over 20 pounds so I couldn't turn her sooner. I would have left her rear facing but we were traveling and couldn't afford a rental car big enough to put a rear facing convertible seat in it... otherwise she would have gone the last 3 months rear facing. I didn't care of she was more comfy forward facing, to be honest.

Ugh, my hormones are not going to be my friend today... I think I'll go enter more stuff onto my consignment sale website. I haven't finished and my drop off is Thursday... maybe that will distract me?

Oh I feel your pain!! My hormones have not been my friend for the past couple of months!! My problem is that my dh is the one who REALLY ticks me off LOL!! Poor guy can't seem to say or do anything right!! Even when he does exactly what I thought I wanted him to do LOL!!!!

I am hoping that since it will be the law maybe more and more car seat companies will make the seats that will accommodate a taller rear facing child and hopefully they will get cheaper?

Vent away!!! Sometimes it feels better to just get it out!!

When is your next appointment? Have you felt any major shifting lately??

I concur. I've been snippy about lots of things lately, too. But I agree with you 100%, Sara. Parents should be doing what's best for their children, not what's convenient. <_< Just hang in there!

I feel the babies rolling around but they'd both have to go vertical at this point for one of them to. My height finally has made a difference... but since I'm almost 34 weeks I think I've been doing pretty well!

The 2 year rear facing thing is not law and probably won't be in a lot of states. In Tennessee it is law to be in a booster until 4'9" I think... but my 65 pound niece isn't in a booster or anything anymore and neither is her slightly heavier older brother. Drives me nuts.

I knlw the car seat thing has raised a stink with some people I know too! But yeah I would have a hard time to Sara with time off to go from on the go and busy all the time to having to slow down is hard. I keep saying I want more time off work but only doing 30 hrs a week I'm getting bored with my time! It's like there is sooo much that needs done but I can't physically do!

And Heather like you my husband keeps getting the brunt of things but here it's more of the brunt of a honey do list because I have all this time to think of things he could do for me or around the house!! Lol!!

The only thing I can't complain about is my husband, he's really wearing himself out taking care of things. He just asks that as long as I can to please do one thing a day to help. Yesterday I reheated leftovers for dinner and he was happy, today I went to the bank. I'm also doing as much of the baby prep as I can physically so he doesn't have to.

so Sara will he take some time off when they come? We are now looking at how we want to do that my DH has 2 weeks vaca and we were going to use it all at once then I saw someone on here saying their hubby was going to take 1 full week off then go back half time for 2 weeks, we are actually now leaning towards that. Seems like it might be a bit easier.

He can work from home if needed, we are going to play it by ear because his parents will be here while I'm in the hospital and a few days after and my mom is coming for a week after that. He can take 40-60 hours off without using up enough to have less than me. He gets an extra week and it should work out for me that I get 60 hours this year after my leave of absence.
