Just had baby shower at work - 28 weeks

I just had a mini baby shower here at work because my last day is Friday. It was really nice and they gave me a Target gift card from everyone. When I looked at the gift card, I started thinking about all of the things that I still need to buy and how incredibly unprepared I am!!

I am going to have TWO babies to take care of soon in addition to a 2 1/2 year old. The room is not done because we are trying to fix up our house to put it on the market by the end of September. I have no bouncy seats, no bottles, I have no diapers because I don't know what size to buy, I have no pacifiers, I still have to buy everything for the new nursery so I haven't put any of the clothes or hats or socks or any other baby stuff away yet.

It just hit me all of a sudden that I have so much to do in addition to getting my house ready to sell in the next month! WOW! I've been so laid back until now because I know I have plenty of time, but I'm suddenly feeling like I no longer have plenty of time!

Whew!!!! It seems that time is just flying by!

 

Don't worry somehow it will all get done. Glad you had a work shower, sounds like fun.

 

Make lists and everytime you go out get all the items on it. You will be done before you know it. Good luck with selling your house!!

 

HUGS...get the most important things, such as car seats and some kind of bed..Obviously clothes and diaper are needed but you can get those a pack at a time after the babies are here and you know what size...

GL try not to stress..it will all work out

 

Don't worry about the nursery; they won't know the difference!
You can bring diapers home from the hospital. Wash a couple outfits and that's all you'll need for a few days.
You'll be fine! Don't start nesting now, you have a few weeks to go!!

 

Don't worry, it will get done, I felt the same way after my first baby shower. We were behind the 8 ball, the nursery just got finished 2 weeks ago, and we are still doing stuff around the house (well DH is doing stuff, I'm directing traffic) to get ready.

 

I know exactly how you feel. I don’t have enough rooms to even do a nursery. We need to get our house on the market and figure out how we are going to work around 2 ½ year old and twins while trying to sell house and move AHHH. I just keep telling my self everything will work out and it will just hard when you hit that nesting wall and you cant do that much.

 

I agree with pp about lists, that helped us get prepared quickly once my husband was back from his long out-of-state work trip. I also panicked at 28 weeks exactly. I too felt like I had tons of time until the day I began my third trimester. After some quick organization and a shower this last Sunday, I now am back to feeling like I have some time. Although now I feel much more prepared .
