I know this must be a common post on this forum, but my girls will be 8 months this week and on a very strange whim I took a test last night and SURPRISE! it was positive! Part of me is so scared about how we will handle it financially and give enough attention to the twins with 3 under 2 years.. but then I think.. maybe I'm getting ahead of myself... we haven't even had a blood draw yet... we went through so much to have our girls.. now I'm just afraid that we will go through another loss (we had a missed m/c at the end of the first trimester after visualizing a heartbeat and then had a very traumatic ectopic).. I took the test last night and it was light but not a squinter... then this morning I took one again and it was the same shade.. could that mean that the hcg is not going higher or am I just being anxious-? It had only been 7 hours between the two test... wow! this is insane!

    Congrats!!
One thing that I learned with all my losses is not to judge anything based on how dark the line is. I remember crying so hard thinking I lost my twins pg bc the line didn't seem darker or dark enough and my hcg was through the roof. A line is a line and could depend on so many things. Good luck!!!

I agree with the PP. As for 3 under 2, it is possible! My oldest turned 2 two weeks before the twins were born. It was chaotic but I made it. Your girls are a little younger, but you can do it!

You can do it!!! I know it is shocking, especially if you went through a lot to get your girls. I did IVF to get my twins but then 2 years later got a positive test and then found out it was twins again. :shok:

    Congratulations!!

I like the pp's "A line is a line". Congrats on your pregnancy!

Congrats!! I agree, with both of my pregnancies the lines didn't really get any darker within the first week of testing. Both pregnancies were viable, successful pregnancies.

Oh let me tell you!!!!! 4jsinPA's a line is a line statement saved my life ! With this baby I did 35 pregnancy tests - and it took some a couple of days to darken. and some brands were even BFN when Answer and First response (6day earlier) were BFP I was a crazy woman - no joke!!!! it took two days for some of them to darken. I have also been stressing because I had a mc in the summer of 09. I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and I am trying to relax but it is SO hard!!!! As for the age difference, you will do just fine! Once the new baby arrives you will just do what works!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Congrats, you can do it. I will have 4 with the older 3 1/2 come Feb. Excited but knowing all the work. I would get in to the OB for a blood test with your history. Hope it goes well.

I've agree that a line is a line no matter how faint. And  for being so close in age. Our boys will be 14.5 months when their little brother is born! Needless to say, this pregnancy came as quite a surprise. But now that it has sunk in that it's actually happening I'm excited that all my kids will be so close in age, and all three boys can (hopefully) pal around together while big sis can retain her princess thrown. Don't get me wrong, I still hyperventilate when I try to think about the logistics of having three so young, but I try to look at the big picture and not worry about it until the little guy is actually here (kind of like freaking out with how to handle newborn twins, but we figured that out just fine) Good luck!!
