Since I can remember anytime my daughter cries- her sister will cry - even if she is in another room/ or nowhere to hear her-it's only one-sided though- Does this happen with other fraternal twins?

Mine have started doing this over the last week. If Jack hurts himself Sophie cries and vice versa. x

I actually find it more with laughter. If I tickle one and they laugh, even if the other one isn't around, they'll laugh! It's bizarre!

It depends on why they are crying or laughing in my girls case. IF one is crying, but no one is hurrying to help, the other does this sympathy cry thing. Once you get the one who was really crying, the other just stops. Sometimes, however, if I'm in the room, the one not crying gives the other a look as if to say "wimp". They will often laugh at the same time, or one will laugh and the other will clap.

If one's crying the other will try to console him/her (i.e. give hugs or a toy/treat). However, if one is laughing...it's contagious. I love it when they just sit there and laugh hysterically over what appears to be "nothing." :D

No, I haven't really noticed this with mine and crying. I agree with the laughing though-- definitely contagious! Sometimes though when I put one on a timeout the other one will tell me to "Go get him/her out mommy!"

I have noticed that and with mine it seems to be concern. th are usually in the same room so I can't comment on that.

Mine don't cry, but they are very aware of it and usually start questioning me immediately.

Sometimes the other will cry if the one that is crying is very loud and screaming too, like it's scaring her. Most of the time, Bea will say "Ahssie cry" over and over. Ainsley will sign cry.

My Isabella cries easily & often. Marissa laughs at her! I try to encourage Marissa to be more compassionate but she is so used to Isabella's tears that she either doesn't notice, teases her or laughs at her.

No, but the other will "report" that the crier is crying.

If it is a genuine cry of fear, definitely both will cry. If I play/tickle one, the other starts laughing too. I love that about twins.

Not that I have noticed. But they will tell me when the other is awake, And there is really no way they can hear-door closed and upstairs.
