Things went great. I have only gained one lb in 4 weeks! Blood pressure was fabulous 112/68. Dr. is very happy with my progress. I am now measuring over 40 weeks. The u/s revealed that the babies are both laying across my stomach. DEFINATELY not the most comfortable position/ :angry2: Logan is now weighing in at 4lbs 12oz and Morgan is weighing in at 5lbs 4 oz. They are getting so big. There is not much room in there for them to move so I am feeling almost every little movement, great except when it is time to sleep. I have a question for you BTDT moms, they measured my cervix today and told me it was a 2.2. I wasn't able to get much info from the u/s tech. What does all that mean?

I am just over 36wks pregnant, and my cervix (when they measured it - which was before 32 wks), was always very, very long - like 5! But I remember the doctors telling me that mine was unusually long and that the average women's cervix who is carrying twins is usually aroun 2 to 2.5 (depending on the number of weeks along you are). So according to that advice yours seems to be on track. BTW - how many weeks along are you?

At my last u/s mine was at 3cm, which is very good!

I am currently 31 weeks along. I initally measured 5 in my second trimester, so this is quite a change. This is the first time it has been taken since my first u/s with my new dr in Sept.

Mine was the same way and at my last ultrasound at 36 weeks, it was still in the 4's! I hardly had any change in my cervix the whole pregnancy and delivered my twins via scheduled csection at 37.5 weeks. They just didn't want to come out on their own.

    Hi there!

I am almost 33 weeks and my cervix has been 1.5 for the last 4 weeks. This means that I am 50 percent effaced. Your measurement of 2.2 seems a little low, but still close to 3 cm which is considered close to normal. Keeping in mind that my daughter was born a little early and my OB is concerned that I am at risk for preterm labour. At 1.5 cm, he suggests that I try to stay off my feet as much as possible. As the weeks pass, he is less concerned about my cervical length because the pregnancy is nearing term. I am also assuming that the tech reported the findings to the MD and if he/she were concerned you would have been given some instruction on how to proceed. Cervical length is one issue but coupled with others may be a concern. I would definately not worry until you speak with your MD. Every woman is different as every pregnancy is different so what is abnormal for me may very well be normal for you.

I hope my babbling made some sense!!

    Heather :)
