My nanny texted me and told me that the reason he's been waking up every 2 hours for the past 4 days is because he's got an upper tooth coming in. Mystery solved!

After Tuesday night (when DH was out of town) and him waking at 10pm, midnight, 2-4am (rocking him the entire time) and 4:30am, I was considering selling the little booger! ;) Now we just have to figure out how to get his teeth not to hurt, since Tylenol seems to do nothing....

But the wonderful thing about babies is that just when you're at the end of your rope with them, they do something so cute that all is forgiven:

Enjoy the video (Jack is in red and Nate in blue), and I'm hoping no one else is going through teething misery.

Poor Jack! That video is so adorable!

ETA...Motrin works way better for teething than Tylenol, IMO. 6 months and up.

Does it really?! The ped just said Tylenol, so that's what we used. I'll try Motrin tonight and see if that works. Thanks for the tip!!

My babies aren't teething yet, but my friends with kids SWEAR by baby Motrin over Tylenol for teething pain. GL!

Yep It sure does! That was my first thought when I read the original post. Motrin reduces the swelling in the tissue! I am so glad he gets to stay at home awhile longer!

 That video is great!! We are also huge fans of motrin here! Just a warning, motrin works wonders on my ds but it really winds him up, while it puts all of my others to sleep!

Thanks so much to everyone for the advice; we used Motrin and it worked better. He only woke once at 2 am, but we were able to get him back down fairly quickly. Then the massive thunderstorms rolled in around 5:30, and woke everyone!! Figures.

Of course our power went out right before we had to get up for work, so we had cold showers, and breakfast on the grill! Gotta love living in the country. :p

Jack is very happy that he's not being sold, but I think Nate was looking forward to being an only child. ;)

I totally agree, Motrin for teething. It is an anti-inflammatory as well as pain reliever. Our ped has us giving Max & Lily .125 on the dropper every 6 hours when they were/are teething bad. If you think this is bad, wait for the molars. Max just got his first two after three terribly grouchy weeks. I kept telling him he was lucky the return period was up on him :p .

BTW--DH and I love the video--we loved the one also of them in the push truck (I don't remember who was pushing and who was being pushed)--keep 'em coming!

Thanks! My boys make me laugh every day (it's a good thing, too ;) ). Jack is the pusher and Nate the pushee in both videos. That pretty much sums up their personalities and is the reason that Nate would probably rather be an only child!

Absolutely adorable! I am sorry poor Jack is teething now, teething is rough! I also recommend Motrin, it really helps out my twinkies (along with teething tablets)!
