Just wanted to find out if you used jumperoos or exersaucers or both? Which ones did they like the most and which brands did you like? The fisher price rainforest jumperoo seems pretty popular so was thinking of that one. We have borrowed an exersaucer from a friend so figured we would buy the jumperoo so we would have one of each. Also, the boys are 6 1/2 months and 3 1/2 months adjusted...when di dyou start using them?

    Thanks!

I bought one of each, and i'm glad I did. Ryan didn't like the jumparoo but Christopher loved it. Ryan really liked the excersaucer, Christopher did not...now they both like each and we started using them about 5mths old...i think...I'm sorry, I'm not even sure which ones we had...they seemed all the same to me...However, I will add that our sitter has an excersaucer that has a million attatchments, that one made "me" overstimulated...my boys were just as happy with one that had few bells and whisles...

    good luck!

I had the Rainforest Jumperoo with my older dd when she was little and used the crap out of it. A friend gave me her exersaucer, and I'll be honest, we rarely used it. I liked the jumperoo so much better. There is a newer pattern out now besides the rainforest theme. If you get a jumperoo, get one that they can circle around in (just like the FP one).

We got WAY more use out of our Fisher Price Rain Forest Jumperoo's over the Exersaucer. I got one Jumperoo and one exersaucer at my shower, and I ended up going out and buying a 2nd jumperoo off of Craigslist because they used it so much!

We had 1 of each and rotated the babies. We started around 5-6 months as well.

I have a baby einstein exersaucer from my older dd that she loved! I bought a "simple" fisher price jumperoo (no toys and the seat doesn't spin) on clearance after christmas for the twins....well neither one of them likes it much! <_< I am currently looking for a better jumperoo that isn't insanely expensive, and have settled on the bright starts bouncy bounce thing, it's only $59 instead of $70-80+. Cost is an issue for us! :)

We have the Rain forest jumperoo and both LO's love it, but what the really love and it isn't too expensive is a Jolly Jumper. Both of them go bonkers for it. If I let them they would spend all day in it. We started at 5.5 months for both.

I have a jumperoo (rainforest) and 2 evenflow exersaucers. I find that to be the perfect combination. I got one exersaucer and the jumperoo off craigslist for $25 each in mint condition and my dad basically found a brand new exersaucer on the street. My one son is not a big fan of the jumperoo and is more into playing with all the toys which is a little harder to do in the jumperoo. My other son is content just jumping in the jumperoo. I just keep rotating them and it works out well since they have a variety. I would buy one of each. If you can get them off craigslist you can buy a couple for the price of one or if you happen to hit it really good at a yard sale you can get them even cheaper for like $5 $10. I posted on craiglist the ones I wanted to buy and people hit me back saying they had them also did the same for their high chairs. The stuff is usually in mint condition and the seat can go in the wash so you can clean them right up. The jumperoo had a better seat for helping them sit up and they could sit up in it about 3 -4 months or so, they would just sit in it at first and I put books undernear since they couldn't touch the floor. It just gave them a different view of things. The exersaucers I just put towels or tiny pillows in front of them to keep them up. In the beging they just sat in them and looked at all the toys. It was good for breaking up the day since they do not do much at that age, but it was good for a different view. Now they are into all the toys on it. You can also get bumboo seats pretty cheap off craigslist another way of breaking up the day.

we have the fisher price precious planet jumperoo (which is pretty much like the rainforest one) and both boys loved it for months. we also bought a graco baby einstein discover and play activity center (exersaucer) and they liked that too, although not as much as the jumperoo. it was convenient to have one of each so we could move them through for a change of pace. two jumperoos would have been overkill.

they still get some fun out of it but now that they're more mobile they'd much rather be on the floor than stuck in an exersaucer or jumperoo.

we didn't start them in either toy until we felt like their neck control was strong. we probably first started using them around 5 1/2 months or 4 months adjusted.

We had one of each and started using them around 5 months...both them enjoyed both so we would rotate between the two of them. I received them both as shower gifts.

We have the rainforest jumperoo and the baby einstein exersaucer. They seem to like the toys better on the exersaucer (easier to reach at 5 mos) but they love bouncing in the jumperoo. The exersaucer was like new off of craigslist and the jumperoo was in great shape too, but I did go onto the fisher price site and re-order a couple of the toys I thought they would chew on from the replacement parts section for like $5.00 which made the jumperoo practically brand new. My girls are pretty tiny and those seats are huge. It is fun to see what new things they discover on those toys each day. Oh yeah, I would have to say my vote so far is for the exersaucer if you had to choose one over the other, otherwise, I would get one of each because it is nice to rotate them for a change of pace. I have to say - we run a circuit every day it seems. :)

We had 2 exersaucers that were given to us used and I bought the basic Jumperoo on Craigslist. They all got used 3-4 times a day for about 5-7 months. Check for used ones first!

We also bought both the exersaucer (the Evenflo Mega Exersaucer) and the jumperoo (Fisherprice Rainforest Jumperoo). At first, we thought of only buying the jumperoo (because our son loved to jump and our daughter not so much). But in the end, we bought both and we are really happy we did. We can put one baby in the jumperoo and one baby in the exersaucer at the same time and they both stay entertained for quite awhile. Later in the day, we will swap the babies so that each baby has a turn in the other toy. We eventually bought a few other toys for the exersaucer, to exchange some of the original ones, as they seemed to tire of the original toys.

If you have to buy just one, I would say, try to figure out which one of the toys your children will enjoy. For us, we knew the jumperoo would be very popular with our son (did I say he looooved to jump) and we were not certain how our daughter would like it, so we bought the exersaucer too. In addition, if you live close to a store, you can bring your lo's and try the toys out, and see for yourself, which one they enjoy.

Personally, our children ended up loving the jumperoo and they like the exersaucer. GL!

I recommend one of each if possible (2 exersaucers & a jumperoo is even better). Definitely check out Craigslist for used ones!

I had both. One of my daughters absolutely hated the jumperoo. Luckily she loved the excersaucer. I think they were about 5 months when I started using the excersaucer and maybe closer to 6 months when they used the jumperoo.

We have one of each as well, and I love it. We started off with two exersaucers, which we got from garage sales. When we added the jumperoo we gave my MIL one of the exersaucers b/c she watches them when I work. Having one of each is a lot nicer than having two of the same. They get bored so quickly already, it's nice to rotate them.

I also had one of each (both baby einstein). It worked well for us, because DD LOVED to go crazy and jump in the jumperoo and DS preferred the exersaucer with all of the stuff to play with.
