I buy a lot of Motts for Tots, it's already 50% juice 50% water. It comes in apple, strawberry banana, fruit punch, and white grape. They get a lot of different flavors at daycare.

I haven't given mine juice yet. I'm gonna hold off as long as I can because they like water. I would just continue dilluting the juice and make sure it's 100% juice and not the crap in Capri Suns, for example.

i give my twins minute maid oj for kids (lots of calcium) and v-8 v-fusion light. i give them the oj because they don't drink a lot of milk and the oj has calcium. i started buying the v-8 cause i have coupons. also, i have been trying to find the new sunny d smoothie. it's supposed to have a lot of calcium. i can't seem to find it where i live though. I use to do the mott's for tot's but realized that I was paying for water. Now, I buy frozen unsweetened apple, white grape and just recently orange juice. I can make a batch of it up and I dilute further than what the label recommends. You know, it says to add 3 cans of water....I add 6. It makes it go a little further and I am still giving them diluted juice.

In Spain, I buy natural fruit juice made for babies. They love it but I dont give it to them very often as I still want to encourage water as long as possible!

I don't encourage juice but have given apple, white grape, cranberry, and orange. They like all of them!

No juice here... just the fruit, but if I have to give juice for constipation I usually pick organic apple. I've also been making popsicles out of Super Food which is green juice and they love that!

You know that thread about mommy confessions... here is one of mine. Mine drink diluted juice all day long. I buy the frozen juice concentrate and further dilute it than called for in the pitcher. Then I put about 1/3 of that diluted juice to 2/3 water. It's the best way for me to ensure they get the fluids they need so they don't run into constipation problems. They typically get apple, white grape peach and white grape raspberry juice since that's what Aldi carries. They've also had diluted orange juice, the V8 fruit/veggie juice and grape juice. I don't do grape juice anymore since even when it's very diluted it stains.

We don't give juice often but when we do, I literally put a splash of juice in their water and have used apple, cranberry and white grape.

no juice here, except the occassional prune juice for constipation. they dont miss it and i don't see any reason to give it (plus, i don't want them having sugar--even if it's not the refined kind--as one has malformed teeth and two cavaties already)... i would recommend real, organic juice, diluted w/water.

Ditto this! I hate water and rarely drink just plain water. I usually make their cups with ice 3/4 water and 1/4 apple or white grape. I give them full strength OJ at breakfast a few mornings a week and they love it. That is such a good idea to mix up the frozen stuff and dilute it down!

DD gets sick off the V8 blends and fusions. Not sure why, but even if I dilute it down she gets an upset tummy so I don't buy those anymore. We've tried grape, but I agree about the staining and mine are spitters.

Of course I let them eat popsicles a few times/week now that it's hot (and I enjoy one right along with them).
