This may be a silly question, but I might have my fruit juice “job descriptions” mixed up…

Grape juice – slow things down?
Apple juice – speed things up?
Pear juice – speed things up?

Are there any other juices I need to know about?

    Thanks a bunch!!!

I have not heard that about grape juice, but you might want to add prune juice to the list of "speed IT up." :)

I haven't heard that about grape juice either. Since grapes speed things up, I would imagine the juice would, but I could be very wrong.

I would think the grape juice would speed thing up also! But, I had to look it up...

The most intestines-friendly fruit, especially if you are suffering from a diarrhea illness, is white grapes since they contain equal amounts of fructose and glucose. The high glucose content helps all the fructose be absorbed so little is left over to ferment into intestinal gas. And, white grape juice contains no sorbitol.

    Here is the source.

However, I wonder if regular grapes would fall under the 'prune' category?

I know that grape juice has a “slow down” effect on me, so I was using my own experience on that one ;)

Our pedi. suggests white grape juice for stomach flu issues, too.
