My little Will gets HORRIBLE diaper rash when I give him juice. I think that it is because of the acid in the juice. Is there anything else that I can give him? My John can take it just fine with no problems.

you can try to give him 75% water 25% juice. I only give the 100% juice like juicy juice but water it down. If you think he needs juice, but they really don't need it. water is better if they will drink it.

So far my babies have done best with just cups of water. Keeps them hydrated, entertained while we're doing solids, keeps them poopin'...and I don't have to worry about empty calories. They get lots of vitamins from their food and formula so I don't think they need juice yet.

We don't do juice at all. We did for awhile but our ped told us to stop, so we did and haven't gone back...... they don't miss it. When we do sippy cups we do either water or formula. :)

We also do not do juice. Just milk and water.

When my daughter was little we never gave her juice. The only thing she got other than breastmilk before age 1 was water and actually we never gave juice until she was about 2. She is 3.5 now and we still give her 1 ounce of juice and the rest water. There is a lot of sugar in juice that they really don't need so really you could just eliminate it and offer water.

It's probably the sugar. I water juice down so it's just for flavor. Also, I let my kids drink herbal tea instead of juice.

I do give juice to my oldest usually 1/4 juice and 3/4 water and/or the Mots for Tots which only have 45 calories per package instead of the usual 100. Back home they do tea with lots of milk and little sugar. I've never tried it, but I know a lot of kids back home love it. Or you could do a few oz of low fat chocolate milk (also has sugar though; I water that down too, or add more low / non fat milk).
