Joining the pool

    Hi all!
    My girls will be one on 6/4 (Can't believe it!) and we joined the local pool. They're almost walking - taking just one step. And I think I'll go crazy all summer w/o the pool - so we're going to join. Can anyone recommend any floaties for the girls? I'm not sure what to put them in when we get there. There are 3 baby pools so it's great and when we bring DH we can all go in the bigger pools - but what do I need for them when I'm by myself? Any suggestions are hugely appreciated.

    I am using a Swimways spring float for Elizabeth. I had two when C&A were the same age. They were pretty inexpensive and deflate/compact easily for packing. I got them at TRU I think. HTH :) Enjoy the pool!

    Before you join or buy anything, check with the pool management. I've never been at a public pool that allows any time of floating vest/suit/ring etc. The only time I saw it allowed was when the public pool had been rented for a girl scout function. A friend of ours had her younger ones in vests and the lifeguard about had a fit! Once the friend showed her the tags and that they were coast guard approved, the lifeguard let them go but wasn't happy about it. So I'd ask before you spend your money.

    We had the same spring floats that Melissa posted. I took the boys solo to the pool using those.

    We have the same one too and we just used it for the first time yesterday. They seemed to enjoy it although they much preferred to be out in Daddy's arms (which terrified me).

    This is what we used last summer as well, ours had a canopy over the top. I got them at Target last summer for around $15 each.
