Joining the Bedrest Crowd

I just wanted to introduce myself here. My name is Emily, and I went on bedrest about the middle of March after receiving a cerclage (I was dilating early, not in preterm labor really - I guess "incompetent cervix") as well as having been diagnosed with a mild stage I case of TTTS. I'm expecting mono/di boys with the due date given as July 24th. I believe we're 24 weeks today. . . I hope to be in bed for many more weeks for the twins' sakes!

This is my second experience with bedrest. I did an 11 week stint with my DS#2 for preterm labor symptoms, and we went fullterm. . . he was 10 lbs., born at 39w6d! They even threatened to induce me after all that bedrest. I've always had the scary tendency to dilate slowly and early.

Emily...Sorry to hear that you've joined us bed-resters! You definitely have the right attitude. I've been on strict bed rest for over 2 weeks now. I am absolutely determined to make it to my scheduled c-section on June 16! (I'll be about 36.5 weeks.) After reading many posts on TS regarding moms who were on bedrest for weeks and still made it past 36 weeks, I am completely inspired to be one of them. Good luck to you! :love0028:
