Johnny Jump Up

Just have to give a shout out to the old standby, the johnny jump up. a friend let me borrow her graco version with a tray around it, and my 5.5 mo sons loved it from the start! Not that I will let them "live in it" but it is a GREAT addition, in my opinion, to the house baby gadgets!

 

I prefer jumperoo better. And yes kids love those things. But max time is 1 hr/day.it strengthens your baby's legs muscles. Its good with moderate use. And yes you will have 1 good hour do something else or RELAX everyday.

 

not sure I want to do anything else at the moment other than play with him while he is in it!

 

My girls are still a little young for it but they love it. They turn themselves around in it to watch their older siblings or watch me in the kitchen. Maddie thinks it fun to suck on the seat. There is always a huge wet spot on the front where she gums it while she is in it.

I had the free standing one and the one that hung from the doorway. Nicholas LOVED it. OMG. We would be doubled overed in hysterics when he was in that thing. It was a large space, so the kid literally could fly in circles! We recorded him in it and he was seriously going to the tune of "Cotton Eyed Joe."

We had the Jenny Jump Up (actually two - but I returned the one we never took out of the box) and found the coil too strong - the girls would twirl but couldn't actually bounce. My mom picked up a Graco one at a garage sale and it worked so well we bought a second one. They are fun.
