We've been looking for a jogging stroller and I need some help. We're going to be using it for light running (on city sidewalks) as well as walking around town on bumpy sidewalks with curbs. I can't decide between the Baby Jogger with one front wheel or two front wheels. Or, is there another brand I should be looking at. Any suggestions?

I, too, have been searching and don't know what would be best. I will be interested in hearing people's input of what they have and like.

I was trying to decide on a jogging stroller not long ago. I knew I wanted a swivel front wheel option, so that ruled out the Baby Jogger with one front wheel b/c it's stationary. So I was deciding between the Baby Jogger City series and the BOB Revolution Dualie.....

After talking to Baby Jogger, they told me that the City Series was not for jogging that it was for walking or fast walking....also, the sun canopies were not as good as the BOB's.

So I decided on the BOB Revolution Dualie and I love it! I use it to go walking (on streets, sidewalks, etc...) and my husband uses it to jog. It is perfect for both uses....If my husband wasn't a jogger then I may have bought the Baby Jogger City Series. Also, the front wheel on the BOB Revolution can lock into place and they recommend doing this when jogging. But otherwise we leave it unlocked and it makes manuevering SO much easier! It is great and I swear I can push it with one finger!!

I have the Baby Jogger Performance Double (one wheel in front). I love it for sidewalks, bike paths, neighborhood streets. I like having only 1 front wheel because it allows for more control as you are running and pushing with one hand, having 2 wheels would be more difficult to control, I think. The only bad thing about the 1 front wheel is that is doesn't take tight corners very well, but it does fine with wide turns. I take my Jogger everywhere and the babies love being in it, they fall asleep everytime!!

[IMG]I would defiantly get the one front wheel, but I would add make sure it can swivel! The locked front wheels are much harder to maneuver. Also the bigger the side wheels are the easier to go over bumpy trails or up and down over street curbs. I got a generic brand name from an eBay seller, it was new and only 150$ with shipping. I’m very happy with it.

I have the Dreamer Design Double & it's wonderful! The front wheel does not swivel, but it moves better than my single jogger. I bought mine on Craigslist for more than half price & it was barely used.
    Good luck!

I am ABSOLUTLEY IN LOVE with my City Series Jogging stroller. It has two wheels. It can be purchased at Buy Buy Baby or on line at joggingstroller.com. We purchased it on line and it was $100 cheaper and there was no shipping fee. The reason I love it is because with one easy switch of a button, it converts from a jogging stroller (where the wheels lock straight so it can't tip over) to an all terrain stroller perfect for the city, for the mall for walking over grass and so on. It is a bit heavy but it opens and closes with a breeze. The only time I have to really lift it is to take it in and out of the mini van but I only have to lift it for a couple of seconds. The other thing I love about it is that it can turn in a 360 degree angle with one hand! It's that easy to manuever. It also has 3 different adjustment for the handle bar so that you or dh can find the most comfortable position for pushing. The seats hold up to 45 lbs each and it pretty good storage both under the seat and on the back of the seats. The seats recline and go up really easily for when the twins are napping. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has no cup holders and no place to really put the diaper bag but I use a back pack diaper bag so that problem is solved. Also, the girls can't really see each other cause the middle bar comes out a bit but I hear that could be a good thing for when they are a little bit older and want to annoy each other [IMG]

Overall, the stroller is FANTASTIC! It was a bit pricey but the quality is great and I can tell it will last me for years. I get A LOT of compliments on the stroller whenever we're out. I call it the Hummer of strollers [IMG]

Oh, I totally forgot one of the BEST features...It fits through ALL doorways. I have NEVER gotten stuck going through any entrances.

If you are going to be jogging, you'll probably want one front, fixed wheel. That will give you the most stability. I used my jogger for both excercise and walks so we went with a wheel that could be fixed or swivel. Having it be able to swivel makes it much easier to steer while walking.

I have the Baby Jogger Q Series stroller and LOVE it! I has one fixed wheel in the front. It folds ups easily and fits in the trunk of a sedan no problem. I have heard many good things about the City Series as well! It turns amazingly well. I would have got that one but it is not really intended for jogging so I got the Q series instead.

Another web site with good deals is www.letsgostrolling.com. That is where I purchased my stroller.
