Jogging stroller

O.k. I really want to get a double jogging stroller. I would love the BOB but lets face it........ $600.00......not duable right now. I do want to jog with it, I want a good sunshade ( I live in florida), and I want it to fit in doorways. Oh and comfortable for the LO's. What is everyones opinion. I know alot of people use it for walks and amusement parks and I want it for that too. However my main reason is for exercise (jogging).


So all you joggers........what do you like and use?

 

I have a Schwinn double jogger that I got on clearance for $75. You can't beat it. :good: It's great for jogging. It is not great for shopping though b/c it is too wide to fit in a lot of aisles.

 

Does it cover the babies pretty good?

 

I have the Baby Trend double jogger. It is inexpensive. We had BRU gift certs, which covered the cost . GL!

 

Don't forget to check out ebay and craig's list. The top name strollers are well made and you can easily buy a used one. Mine looked practically new after 4 years of use, and it was the only stroller we had. I took it out everyday and even fed them in there for the first three months of eating. The dreamer designs have great sun shades, they went out of business this year, but I'd highly recommend a used dreamer designs stroller.

 

Check online - our BOB is 1.5 years old and looks almost brand new. I would not hesitate to buy a used one. You can also find the 2006 or 2007 version (new) of the BOB Duallie much cheaper than $600. Or you can usually get the latest model from REI for 25% off when they do their every few month sales. Our BOB cost about $480 I think, at REI. Still expensive, but it's our only stroller and my husband can run with the girls. When you figure you can use it for three years, it's really only $160 a year, or $13 a month. The sunshade is awesome on the BOB. We're in New Mexico, so that was a major consideration.

 

We bought used off craigslist too and got a great deal for an almost new jogger!

 

I agree w/pp lots of joggers are on sale now because all the new models are coming out. And for sure check craigs list and ebay!

The Baby Jogger City Mini or classic have the best sun shade out there and people swear by them.
I would go with those. On Jogging Stroller.com the mini is 399 and there is a classic for 399 on sale as well.
