I am interesting in getting a jogging stroller to take the girls out and get some long distance walking done. As I started doing research I found that there is a jogger and a walker...but I don't know what the difference is. One site said a walking stroller was better for shorter walks, but that's not what I want, I don't want something just to walk to the park in, I want something to walk 5 miles. Any suggestions would be great.

Sorry if I posted in the wrong section, just didn't know where else to put it!

I would go with the jogging stroller, that is what we got. It has bigger wheels, which will go on any surface without getting stuck. The walkers usually have smaller wheels which will get stuck on things and not be as good off of the sidewalk. That is why we got the jogger, we have paths that go through woods, and the ground is not even. We got the side by side with one big wheel in the middle and one big wheel on each side in the back. I wouldn't get the ones that have two wheels side by side, they tend to get stuck. I had one with my other kids, it was aweful. I think the seating is made for this sort of thing as well, it doesn't seem as rigged as the walkers. I definitely prefer the jogger. JMO. Good luck on your search.

I had both, the walker was for the mall and grandma’s walk but I ran with my son 5 miles every day and the jogger was great, harder to turn then a walker but it didn’t have to be pushed as hard as a walker… but once they are out of the snap and go faze if I had to pick one I would pick the jogger…

yes def a jogging stroller if you are going long distance:) i had the double gracco and found it hard to push up hills and thru bad weather; a jogger would have been better tires thru rougher terrain:)

I have been through several strollers already and I would say a jogger would be right for you. I have one I take on trails and everything. It was not very expensive either. $200 I think and it is wonderful!
