I really want a baby jogger city series from bru... but is it really worth the money? And will it fit in the back of my dodge caravan?

We just bought one and I love it -- I am a cheapskate and fought my husband for a couple months -- really $500+ for a STROLLER! -- but my girls' now like to look and the front-back strollers weren't working and I want to be able to get out exercising with them, so we bought it. It is so nice!!!! It pushes so easily, fits through doors. I think folded up it should fit in the caravan -- we have an explorer; check the dimensions though.

Depends... Are you planning to jog with the babies and/or do a lot of outdoor walking? If you'll be doing more than just trips to the mall, a jogger is probably worth it.

FWIW, I have the Bob Revolution Duallie, and I adore it. Fits through doors, fits in the trunk of my Prius, very maneuverable. And now that the babies are old enough, I can get out and run with them! :)

Stores ought to let you try fitting a stroller in your car - worth asking about.

We have the city series double jogger which we purchased from www.joggingstroller.com. It was cheaper and we got a deal with free shipping. Let me just say WE LOVE OUR JOGGING STROLLER. It is awesome. The girls have been in it since we had to say goodbye to the snap n' go (about 6 months?) Moves like a charm and can be pushed and turned around corners with one hand. It is a very smooth ride and has some pretty good storage. It also fits through ALL doorways which is a huge plus. I also love, love, love the way the stroller opens and closes. It is litterally a one step ordeal to open and one step to close. The only down side to it is that it is pretty heavy but I am able to lift it in and out of my mini van with no problem. I don't know what the space of your van is like in the back but I am able to fit it in the space behind the 3rd row seats with absolutely no problem. HTH

I got my jogging stroller from ebay and its the Insteoh Safari Double Jogging Stroller, I got it from the company linked.... it was cheaper than anywhere else and it has the swivel wheel which the BRU stroller does not. I LOVE IT! Use it ALL THE TIME! Great purchase!

I second this!! I love my Instep stroller. Reasonablly priced and awesome! Just a little heavy to lug in and out of the car!

I just got the Dreamer Designs Manhattan, it is wider and heavier than the baby jogger which was the other stroller I was looking at. I choose the Dreamer b/c it had better pockets/understorage and canopies, and you can lock the swivel wheels from the handle, and comes w/ a raincover and at $100 less the extra size was a trade off. It fits nicely in the back of my Chrysler minivan, though it does take up most of the space.
Also my 3yo can ride on the front on the footplate, something she discovered, and likes to be the "horn"

My brother bought us our Bob jogging stroller and we love it! I don't jog, I walk.

It folds up and fits in the back of our minivan okay, the wheel come off if we need more room.

We also have a snap n go for quick trips to the store.

Thanks for all the replies so far. I am definitly going to have to have something besides the snap and go for walks. My friend and I went on lunch a got the girls for a walk because it has been such nice weather and the snap and go just doesn't cut it for walks outdoors.

If the S&G is bugging you for outdoor walks, you should definitely get a jogger. Our Maclaren Twin Traveller is actually worse than the S&G was on bumpy sidewalks, curbs, etc. When my girls were 6 months old we got a used Mountain Buggy Urban Double, and I wished we could have gotten it sooner. We use it for hours every weekend and plan to use it till they no longer fit.

It is kind of a pain to get in & out of the car (we have a station wagon, so it fits easily, but it's heavy). So when we're going to the mall or the doctor's office, we take the Maclaren, but otherwise we take the MBUD.

I love my baby jogger city series dbl, but my kids do NOT.... the seats are slightly reclined first of all and they can't see each other cause there is a barrier.. add to that there are no snack trays.. and it has sat collecting dust i in my garage.... I went out and bought a twin aria which my kids love -- I got it used, and I really love the weight and the snack trays, but not much else ==-

I'm hoping when my boys get older, they will like the baby jogger. Let's hope, since I paid $600 for it.

if I could sit them more upright in the BJ stroller, I think they'd like it more.

that's my experience. I have two very busy 13 mo old boys and they've loved the twin aria since 8 mos.

We have a baby trend jog stroller, we were lucky and my sister got it at a yard sale for $40 in mint condition. I absolutely love it, I actually tell people if they are only getting one stroller, get a jog stroller.
