Jacob has figure out that using his words gets results

    :) He now asks for things by name or sign if he doesn't have the word. I am loving this because it makes me better at figuring out what he wants (the random scream just wasn't getting the message across).

    We were in the car, and he started yelling "Mama, mama, waa waa, waa waa". He wanted a drink of water.

    I can't wait for words, i hate when they are crying and you have no idea whats wrong....glad its starting for you!

    that's great! we get lots of words... phrases etc, and still get the crying sometimes! ugh!

    Yes! Words are great! I even love it when I ask them if they want to eat and they say EAT. Just repeating what I say when they want it is fine by me- it's a vast improvement over just screaming. :)
