Jack broke his tooth!

Sophie was in the bath with her daddy last night and Jack was holding on to the bath waiting his turn. Well i was standing behind him and he slipped and bumped his face off the bath. I checked him and there was no blood and he wasnt crying so i let him get back to being splashed by his sister. Well his daddy then took him into the bath and started looking at his teeth (as you do) and noticed that his top front tooth had broken . Im not sure when it happened whether it was when he was standing at the bath or one of the numerous time he fell and bumped himself during the day due to pulling himself up on everything. He now has to live with a broken tooth untill he is 5 and wait for his new teeth 2 come in and its all my fault, i should have been watching him more carefully. I feel so bad about it. I mean the poor wee bugger only just got his teeth in and now one of them is broken. This kinda stuff never happens when my partner is with them its always me. I feel awful today. Sorry about the vent. x

 

It is noticable?

my nephew fell over when he was trying to be tricky and take his jacket of the 'cool' way by spinning around, he fell on his face and his took ripped not quite all the way out, we took his to the doctors and he said it wouldnt have to be pulled.

he was about 3 at the time so a little but older that your little guy, his tooth turned black and still remains like that today (he is now 5) it sticks out like nothing else, but remember its a baby tooth and its not going to be like that forever.

and its not your fult, kids fall allll the time as you said, he fell over alot o times today, he just happen to hurt himself a little more than he had all the toher time's, its going to happen, hes a kid.

 

Its not really that noticeable i guess. I think a bit has just kinda snapped off. Its just the fact that the other one is going to grow in all big and normal and then he is going to have this little sharp pointy one lol! I guess your right it is only a baby tooth and it will fall out in time but holy crap why did it happen when i had him! x

 

Josh did this when he first started walking at 10 months....he took a big chunk out of the corner of his front tooth! Poor guy!

 

Awww! Definately not your fault...he shouldn't be pulling up on EVERYTHING! No, but really, I think that happens alot to little ones, especially now that they are all over the place. At least it happened to his baby teeth and it seems that he wasn't in any pain, so that's a plus! :hug99:

 

Aww, poor guy and poor mom too! :hug99: My oldest fell in the tub, he hit his face on the edge and had a HUGE bruise on his cheek, he looked like he'd been in a fight! :vava:

 

Keegan did the same thing, he chipped the corner of one of his front teeth. I still have no idea when/how he did it, it's been like that for awhile though

My thoughts as well!

 

My Jake has a chipped front tooth too. I don't even know how it happened; he is so clumsy and bangs into everything.
Don't feel bad! It's not your fault! It happens to the best of us!

 

Did i also metion that Sophie pulled herself up on the bed and gave herself a black eye! The my friends baby who is the same age scratched her face so it looked like she had been in a baby fight!!! People are going to be thinking i beat these children lol. Thanks for being so supportive i just felt really bad for him, my poor wee buggers! x
