I've got a date!

If all goes as planned...On October 1, dh and I will be doing our FET(frozen embryo transfer)! I can't believe we are doing it already! CRAZY! Sometimes I think I am crazy for going through this so soon! On the other hand though, if it takes more than one time-we have a few tries hopefully, that we can be pregnant by the first of the year.

It's going to get interesting though! Transfer is October 1, the boys' birthday party(with 100 people) is Oct 4, my beta is Oct 11 and their actual birthday is October 18!

It's going to be a busy month!

Oh-and NO one knows we are doing it-except dh's cousin who will be watching the boys when I go for my transfer...

Tell me about it! 130 have been invited! I'll have to update with the final tally! I hoping for a lot less than 100! One could hope, right??

As for the actual FET process-it is much easier than the fresh cycle. On day one of AF-I call the RE's office and they mark it down. I started the estrogen patches, and I change them every other day and slowly increase them up to 4. I also take aspirin starting on day 1. On day 16-I go in for u/s and b/w. If all is well-I start the progesterone in oil shots(I have NEVER done those-and I am NOT looking forward to it!). And-on day 22-Oct 1-is transfer day! We are transferring one...I just hope it works!

Meg, best of luck for you and your family. The PIO shots are not as bad as you think they will be (don't look at the needle..LOL) but if you ice it for a few minutes before, stand up while doing it and then put warm compresses after or a hot shower and massage it in, you will be fine. Obviously someone has to do it for you.

We have two embryos frozen, and I want to do an FET in spring of 2009. DH needs a little convincing to do it that soon though.
