Some background: So the kiddos are 11 months old. Up until now, they have been sleeping in pack and plays in the living room because we have a 2 bedroom apt and I didn't want the babies to bother my 2yo's sleeping. Because they sleep in the living room, I can't just put them down and let them CIO to get to sleep...so I have been rocking them to sleep and then laying them down. We did CIO to eliminate the middle of the night wakings and that worked great (it took several weeks and a few illnesses in between...but we eventually got there).

So they have been sleeping through the night for a couple weeks and I wanted to try moving them into the bedroom with DS1. That went great.

Then one night last week, everyone was crazy so I just put the babies down in their cribs (it was around 8pm - normal bedtime anyways) and let DS1 stay up until the babies went to sleep. It was like 5 minuits and they were happily sleeping away. I thought it was a fluke...so I did it the next night....no crying at all! So all this week, I've put them to bed at 8pm and they fall asleep withen like 5 mins! I can't believe it!? Why didn't I do this sooner???!!!! :umm:

At this moment...I layed them down to see if I would have good luck getting them to sleep for their nap...they are still in their playing and banging on their cribs...but not crying...we will soon see if they fall asleep.

I just wanted to share my great luck. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner!

My guys are the same way too, they all sleep in the same room and it's working out pretty well. The babies conk out fast in their little beds. :D I'm glad you found an easy way to deal with sleeping! Hooray!

That is great! :Clapping: My biggest advice to parents (when they ask!) is to let their children learn how to put themselves to sleep. I think it helps in the long run tremendously!
