I'm not so sure this is still post-illness catchup eating. I think we may have ourselves a growth spurt going on here. It's been like this ever since they started feeling better but that's been over a week ago. They had a big bowl of cereal, half a banana, and a pile of grapes for breakfast. That was at 7. Now they're having lunch... at 9:15. And it's not a small lunch either. Where do they put it?!

We go through stages like that too; although my little peanuts don't seem to gain much from these so-called 'growth spurts'. It amazes me how much they eat compared to their 22m cousin and she is WAY bigger than they are.

I get a lot of surprised looks when I take them out to eat. I think we've made a few buffet places reconsider not charging for 2-year olds ;) But even compared to their normal voraciousness, this is hardcore bottomless pit feasting. I'm not expecting a stellar weight gain out of the deal (regaining the lost pound would be good) but I expect that their sleeves & pant legs will start to look a little short... not to mention those feet. They had a crazy growth spurt last August but it's been pretty steady since and if this is anything like that last one, I'm glad shorts season is coming soon so they won't have to wear highwaters for long ;)

After my two got over the stomach bug they had about a month ago, they ate like little piggies for about a week! I mean more than i have ever seen them eat! It went on for about a week and then they went back to their normal pickiness. So, yeah, it might be catch up.

I always joke that mine have a hollow leg! I could spend my life at Kroger and we would never have enough food. It's crazy! Glad to hear yours are feeling better and eating like champs :)
