    Hi All,

It's been one of those days where things just are not going well - babies are out synch, sleeps are messed up and everyone (including me) is crabby. I am longing for bedtime (mostly theirs, but mine too) so we can all get a break. We've all had theses days, right? So how did you deal? Any funny stories? Anyone confident it didn't damage their kids?

    Thanks in advance,

    Amy

I'm sorry to hear that. When I have days like that I soak in the tub after they go to bed and then I go to bed early too. What can you do when they get out of sync besides count down the hours til bed. Hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Are these your first kids? One thing that will set your mind at ease that I am so grateful to know from personal experience: my older kids are fine in spite of those bad days. They suck so bad when they happen, but be confident knowing that it takes a lot more than a bad day here and there (or every other day at certain stages) to really mess up your kids. [IMG]

In the meantime, I suggest chocolate therapy.

I used to soak in the tub, too. It wasn't much, but it was all I got. I settled in for a hot bubble bath and a good book. It really did help.

Yes I have those days!! I'm sure the stories will be funny a few years from now (if I actually remember anything from this period of my life lol).

I don't know what to tell you but to hang in there. I had one of those days today. I was completely exhausted and called my husband in tears asking him to come home so I could nap (first time I've done that since he went back to work 2 months ago). So he came straight home, but we are lucky that he can do that once in a while.

Any chance someone can come watch the kids so you can sleep for a couple of hours? Or just let them cry and wear earplugs to bed (I have thought about doing that frequently)? :)

Sorry you are having a rough day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
