i have posted a few times about DDs terrible reflux and my frustrations with being unable to get it under control... well i am ecstatic to announce that for the past 4 days she has been a happy eater!!! it is so amazing! i hope this doesn't jinx it...

i was pretty sure that alot of her eating aversion was psychological because she is on plenty of meds, so i started changing things up during her feedings-started using a bib instead of a burp cloth(she always cried when she saw the burp cloth), switched the side she was feeding on(DS was really confused about this), played some music, and gave her a toy to distract her. she is like a new baby, she will finish her whole bottle while in her boppy, i used to have to hold her after the first oz or so and basically force feed her (not fun) and now she actually opens her mouth when she sees the bottle coming her way! i used to have to cram it past her sealed lips! she still spits up every now and then, but who cares!! i can handle that, it was the constant crying that was killing me!

anyway, i just wanted to share my joy! it is amazing how much stress it was causing me, i didn't even realize how bad it was until it was gone..

big  to all you other moms out there dealing with reflux, it is soooooo hard..

    -joy

That's great news! I never had to deal with reflux, but I know it can be very stressful for all involved.

Congratulations on that. OH the last several months must have been so hard! My twins are only 6 weeks and I have to say that the screaming and crying hurts my brain! Oh I can't wait until I can say mine are doing better!!
