I just bought the boys one of these: Monkey Bars. It's set up in our living room right now but I plan to move it outdoors (it'll fit through the door if I take the top square part off). They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Recommended age is 3+ and there are lots of warnings on the box. I think it's safer than our cabinets, though, so there you go. If you have an Aldi, I got it cheaper there.
I saw those at Costco last summer but wasn't too sure. Thanks for the head's up. I may have to put that on their wishlist for their birthday. We got rid of their other climbers (they outgrew them) and have no intentions of buying a swingset or anything like that. But they LOVE to play in the backyard and this would be a good way to get their energy out!
That is really cool! I didn't even know you could buy those retail (though I've seen them at playgrounds). A&S were just playing with one at the local elementary school -- they are still too short/clumsy to climb on it, but they enjoyed walking inside it and saying it was a house.
I didn't want to tick anyone off if they'd paid $99 for it but I got it for $39.99 at Aldi (marked down from $69.99). I grabbed it quickly because they only had one!
That thing looks awesome and I know the boys would love it! That might be a good Christmas gift! Thanks!

It's only inside temporarily... our living room is large but not big enough for a permanent playground  We did the same thing last Winter with their Little Tikes slide and it helped us get through the rainy days. My mom pointed out that I could toss some bedsheets over it and make a tent hideout sometime. We haven't had any falls and only two minor chin bumps (one each) while learning how to descend vertically down the middle. Here are pics of them enjoying the climber: Trevor upside down Trent hanging around Soooooo happy!
