We found out this morning - they were very sure - though I guess w/ an ultrasound every 2 wks it'll be reconfirmed. It's so exciting!! But I'm stumped! I don't want to do a pink nursery!! [IMG]

Congratulations on the girls! Yellow is often a great color for girls. Have you considered that?

Lucky you!! Pink and yellow go together nicely. I didn't want to do a blue nursery, so I did yellow and green with a pond theme. It's cute. Congrats on the girlies.

    Congratulations!!

You can do a feminine nursery in yellow... or even light blue! [IMG] (A friend of mine is pregnant with a girl and her nursery is blue, her bedding is blue and white and purple - it's very cute!)

What about mint green?? My friend woth triplets (2b/1G) did a black & cream toille fabric with mint green walls etc.

The other trendy colors right now are deep brown with soft pink or soft blue.

With my B/B twins I did denim. The sheets were red/blue/yellow plaid. The blanket was patchwork with some squares out of the plaid, and some in a coordinating small floral. My DH was OK with that.

    Congratulations on your girls!
As for your nursery... there are so many options without getting all pink and frilly. You can do purple, yellow, or orange... you can work with primary colors... there really is no limit to what you can do with little girls' rooms! I was worried about doing a boy/girl room... I thought girl/girl room would be easiest! Have fun with it!

Congratulations on 2 girls! [IMG] It is so exciting to find out the sexes of the babies!
My take on a nursery is not very traditional. I had a red/white toile nursery for my daughter. It turned out so lovely!

We did our nursery in sage green and a buttery yellow. We found a great deal on the John Lennon safari bedding set. Even though its still not all "put together" it looks really sweet.

Congrats! That is so exciting! Me personally, if I had two girls, it would look like a Barbie bomb exploded in their nursery, but I totally could understand that's not everyone's cup of tea... The pp have lots of great suggestions. Congrats on your princesses!

congrats on the 2 girls!! Another week and 3 days and we will find out! The suspense is killing me.

My first 2 are girls and didn't think I was having a girl at all, but painted the walls periwinkle, that way almost everything goes.

Good luck with all your shopping now!!

Congrats on the girls! I completely understand the not wanting to do a pink room - as other posters say, there are LOTS of options; i think people just automatically default to pink when they hear 'girl'

I've practically told a few close friends that if ours ARE girls I don't want pink stuff - my best friend laughed at me and told me to get over it since we'd be getting pink from people! But you can do green, yellow, lavender, blue - anything that floats YOUR boat!

" Me personally, if I had two girls, it would look like a Barbie bomb exploded in their nursery"

    had to laugh at this!

I have a strong suspicion I'm having 2 boys BUT if I'm wrong, I love the combination of mint green with pink. It can be a very pretty but not overly girly combination. Have fun decorating!

Congratulations! We went with a unisex Winnie the Pooh nursery and then an Under the Sea nursery when we moved. I wanted something to could be used again if we had a boy in the future although I would have actually loved pink. [IMG]

Congrats! Get ready for pink, even if it isn't the color of your nursery. My DH cracked up the other day watching me fold the girls' laundry; every single thing I pulled from the basket was pink!

The things I registered for (crib sheets, bumper etc) are a nice green. That's my favorite color, and since the babies don't care one way or another . . .
