Anyone have a high chair they love? Or one they hate?? With two, obviously price and space are concerns in addition to safety (of course!), comfort, ease of cleaning, etc.
    Thanks!

I love this highContempo chair. IT folds down to 8 in wide if you need space. It rolls nicely. YOu can wide down teh seat. It has a great harness system when they are first sitting up. It has a top take off tray if they stay in chair after you want ther food gone. I got mine from target for like 80 or90 dollars.

My high chairs are SUPER cute. They're made by Baby Trend & have a cute jungle design stitched on them.

That being said, DO NOT BUY THEM! I knew buying the cloth seat was stupid, but figured I'd wipe it down with meals & then just toss it in the wash every week or so. The first time I went to throw it in, I glanced at the tag to realize it's

    DRY CLEAN ONLY!

WHO makes a high chair DRY CLEAN ONLY? I could've screamed!

So, now I'm stuck scrubbing the seat with moist rags to get all the food out. And let me tell you...I have some MESSY eaters, so cleaning those darn things is a pain in the TUSHIE!

Steer clear of cloth seats. No matter HOW cute they are.....

I highly recommend the type that attaches to a regular chair......they take up less space and are really easy to clean (parts can go into the dishwasher too).

The ones we have are First Years.

I have the fisher price space savers. They attach to a chair, then later turn into a booster seat for when they are older. I love them, and do not take up alot of space!!

We have the baby trend high chairs, and I love them! The best thing about them is that they lean waaaaayyyyy back, and you can raise and lower the entire seat. We have 2 of these chairs, and our twins have joined us at the dinner table since they were born. They also sit (lay) in their high chairs while I (or DH) do things in the kitchen.

I have baby trend high chairs with cloth seats at our sitter's house and they are machine washable. That said when we brought them to the sitter's house we got two new high chairs for home- evenflo expressions II and they have vinyl covers which is good for when they start to self-feed and the food goes everywhere!!!

The one thing that bugs me about all the highchairs I have (the two brands) is that they have an attachment that goes on top of the tray that can go into the dishwasher. Sounds great! But if you don't use that attachment (which I don't because they eat in high chairs 4 times a day and I only run the dishwasher once a day), there are little crevices on the main tray where food can get trapped. Its annoying.

My mom got FP booster seats for her house and they are AWESOME because the whole tray goes in the dishwasher.

Hope this rambling was somewhat helpful. GL!

We had two hand-me-downs and I hated them both. One had a fabric cover, which (although machine washable) is a bad idea for any child who is not a nice neat eater and never throws food. It could have used being run through the wash every single day (if not more often).

The other one had only two positions - very reclined (like for an infant) or absolutely straight upright (which was not good for an older baby). They also both had so many cracks and crevices that food could get stuck in that it seemed they were never clean, even when I cleaned them with toothbrushes and toothpicks - there were always gross bits of food I couldn't get to.

That said, my sister now has a high chair from Ikea that she loves. You can see it HERE. It looks as if it can't recline, but you can buy an inflatable cushion for it to help position the child. The chair is $19, the tray is $5, and the cushion is $5. My sister says it's super easy to clean, and you certainly can't beat the price.

We have THIS one (in a different pattern) and I love, love, love it! It has seven different height positions and reclines back easily. The seat is super easy to clean and the tray has a clear removable smaller tray that snaps in and out for easy cleaning. Oh, and there's a parent cup holder too!

We got this when our 18 month old was born, but I'm going to buy a second one now that our twins are eating solids. I'm completely happy with it...no complaints whatsoever and the price isn't bad either.
