    Hey
In the last few weeks i've developed a rash on my bump that the midwife said was oodema/edema (no idea how it's spelt!) but basically water retention in the skin that makes it itchy and have the texture of orange peel. Originally it was just on the bottom part of my bump on the waist band of whatever trousers I was wearing... it got really irritated because of where it was but moisturising with body butter seemed to help. It now spreading up my bump and I mentioned it to my consultant who said I could get a very mild anti-histomeen (can't spell that either!) cream that would reduce the swelling and itching, but with it being easter weekend no shops are open... please please please can someone suggest a home remedy or something that i can use! I'm going insane with itching and it's even waking me up at night now! gaaaah!
    thanks....
sorry for the desperate tone... but it's getting that way!!!

One idea is to mix baking soda with a little bit of water and put that on. The other thing that helped me is aloe vera, either the gel you put on, or drinking the pure form. Those were the topical things that helped me. Good luck!

I am so itchy also. I have been using a pupps cream I got earlier in my pregnancy. As well as a special pupps soap in the shower. It is all natural and is basically peppermint. I wake up in the middle of the night and have to lather it on!!!!
