My stomach itches soooo bad below my navel (right where the stretch marks are). [IMG]
What do you do to ease the itching? I have used regular moisturing lotion (sometimes hourly) but it just isn't helping now. It is driving me nuts. There isn't a rash so it isn't PUPPS. It itches so bad and I am trying not to scratch it, but when I do it hurts.

You could try a little baking soda and water, mixed like porridge. It helped all my itching.

Speaking of porridge, oatmeal is good, too. Messy, but really effective . With either one, just brush or wipe it off really well when it dries you're done - don't rinse if you can help it. Slather on some more moisturizer right on top.

I used Palmers Coco Butter lotion on my tummy when I was pregnant with the twins. It was the only thing that would help with the itching. Unfortunately mine got worse the bigger I got [IMG]. Sorry! Hope you get some relief soon!

I used hydrocortizone(sp) cream. It helped some. I agree with Kateyes, the itching got worst the bigger I got.

I agree with pp. I had the same thing happen to me the first few weeks of pregnancy. I used the oatmeal bath stuff you can get from wal-mart. I also would take the package and mix it with a little water and make a paste. It worked for me!

My doc told me hydrocortizone was okay, but remember it is a steroid cream and prolonged use isnt real good for the skin. He recomended a Lanolin FREE lotion. I believe Kerry brand is lanolin free. I used oil of olay Quench because it was the only one at our lil grocery store that I could find that did not list lanolin on the label. That seemed to be the best. My itch was my legs and i was scratching the skin off my legs!! Hope this helps.

My stomach itched so bad when I was pregnant, I used coco butter and that saved me from going crazy. Try it, it also prevented stretch marks.

    hi,
everytime my belly itches, i apply anti stretchmarks cream or some olive oil. it helps. but dont dont scratch it coz the scratching will only increase your stretch marks as the abdomen skin is very tender during pregnancy..

as for applying lotions or anything, get your DH to give you a belly massage. believe me, it feels good :)

The only thing that helped my itchies was a arm(ok too warm, but felt great), and coating myself with aloe vera lotion.
