hi again. I'm 24 wks pg. with twins, and i've had a slight problem with itching since about 14 wks. It seems to be gradually getting worse, and at times servere. There is no rash, it just seems to be itching "underneath" my skin. My doctor gave me a prescription for it, but said that it will continue to get worse as i get further along. sometimes it's unbearable. Has anyone else had this problem... and what are your recomendations to help ease it up a little bit? thanx for listening! any help would be great!!

I was just reading an article about Cholestasis and looked it up on ahealthyme.com... it's biggest symptom is itching and usually occurs between the second and third trimesters. I am definitely no expert, but since it was fresh in my mind, I thought I would bring it up! I hope you find some relief! Good luck! ;)

i get really itchy every couple of days - no rash, no explanation. I started to moisturise my whole body every day and that seems to help some.......but it comes back. lol.

I had that as well around the same time as you. I noticed that you can buy anti-itch creams at the drugstore. Not sure if it's safe during pregnancy though, so it may be wise to ask a pharmacist. I think I might try that if mine flares up again. I found the moisturising lotions didn't improve the itchy feeling.

yea...lotions and creams don't seem to help. It ALWAYS comes back!! The doctor didn't seem to be worried about my health, he just said that it can become very uncomfortable....and it is!
