It wasn't fun but I'm proud of my boys

Today, we had our first tornado warning since the boys have been old enough to understand what's going on. We talked about it ahead of time and as the storms neared I reminded them of what they needed to do. They even got to see me play good samaritan and tell an elderly couple in a tiny fishing boat to get to the ramp NOW because there is a strong storm coming fast (I watched them dawdle for several minutes before they went and I'm betting they're sitting in their truck right now with the boat up on the rocks wondering how they'll get it on their trailer and thinking that they should have listened to that lady). Anyway, T&T were remarkably calm and they sat with me in our little central closet for a good 10 minutes without complaint.

Yikes, Debi! Glad you are all okay. Tornadoes are so scary. I'm really glad to hear how well your boys dealt with the situation - Hooray, boys! :)

Wow, what little troopers. I bet it was the same line of storms that we got as well, Debi. It came through just as we were going into a restaurant! A tornado warning was issued a county above us.

I had to go sit with them for 40 minutes last night at bedtime so they could ask a million questions including where the bad part of the storm went after it missed our house and whether there might be any more storms overnight. They've been calling me to sit with them at bedtime a lot lately so this just gave them another reason to ask  DH is being a horse's arse about it (I think because he's upset that they consider me the protector rather than him). I hope they all get over it soon.
