Foot, mouth, and hand disease. Yep I took Kaylee to the Dr today because she had really ate anything since Thurs and I noticed sores on her tongue but I thought she had bitten it. He did a strep test but it came back negative. Well he told me she doesn't have the Chicken Pox but has this herpes virus. Highly contagious. I thought wonderful!! He gave her Tylenol with Codiene. So I thought well at least it will knock her out and I will get some sleep...nope she hated it and spit it back out. I had to dump it in her milk. I told the Dr. he better double what he is giving me with the Tylenol since I know Kelby will get it. It seems to never fail. I have my 10 year class reunion this weekend and was so excited to show them off. I just hope she is feeling better and Kelby doesn't get it.

Please have your doctor give her zovirax. It was a miracle worker for Moshe when he had it. My pedi told me that if they take it within the first 24-48 hours (I think) it lessens the disease by a few days. Good luck to you. It's NO fun!

What a bummer! REagan had that back in the fall...Morgan never got it. So, that was good! I hope you are able to take them to your reunion...how exciting. We just had DH's 10 year a few weekends ago...mine is in August

Ugh, I remember that. My DS is so fair skinned that he was the "best case" of HFMD my pedi had seen in a long time. Grace got it in her mouth, but Sarah never got it at all.

Once the drugs were on board (I think just Tylenol, it faded pretty fast. I was told that it was really not any worse than a cold and it just manifestied itself as a rash rather than the sniffles.

I hope everyone else stays healthy and that Kaylee feels better soon.
