wow! that's great... but I will say that most of my weight took about 12 wks to lose. and even now, I'm down more than prepregnancy... but my inches are different... my butt is gone... and moved up to my waist. Ah well. its all good. I'm waiting to slow down on breastfeeding before I go out and get new clothes.

I would say your body has to have time to get back to its shape - give it a little time. as for the darker belly? I don't know.

I lost all of my preg weight in two weeks but my tummy is still kinda weird...def poochier than before and full of stretch marks. Ack. Not pretty. I'm hoping the flab will decrease a bit and the marks fade.

I, too, lost all the weight I gained within the first two/three weeks. My stomach has never gone back to "normal" and is darker then the rest of me because of how it got stretched out and then it "shriveled" back down. Like the previous poster said, the number went down but the body is definately different. It's worth it though. ;)

That's amazing! It took me about 2 months to lose mine

I lost my pregnancy weight quickly, too. But...my body is totally different. I never had love handles and now they are huge. I am storing fat in weird places...grrrr and my belly has a pouch that I suppose will never go away (without surgery). Twin pregnancy...ugh

I also lost the pregnancy weight in 2-3 weeks, and although the scale says I am where I was before the girls by body tells a completely different story!

Same here! Finally able to fit in old clothes, but they really do fit differently.
After 3 wks, i had lost all the weight plus 10lbs...my clothes did not fit at all, my back and rib area seemed bigger too!
I've since gained 8lbs back...ho hum...but my clothes fit better.

Doing Pilates, and it 'feels' better.

I've heard it takes time...congrats on the weight loss!!

  9. I lost the weight fairly quickly... and then some. But my "skeleton" took months to return to normal. My hip bones were wider (so my pants didn't fit), my ribs and shoulders were wider (so my shirts didn't fit) and even my feet were bigger! But within a few months, it slowly returned to "normal". Although there are still changes... my stomach is flatter than it's ever been (thank you breastfeeding!) but I have love handles at the top/back of my hips!

Consider yourself very lucky. I didn't gain much with the girls, but I have just now gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight at almost 7 months out (I had PPD and took an anti-depressant for 4+ months that made me gain weight!) I too am not back to my pre-pregnancy size. They just did a number on my body, mostly my tummy area. Everything else is back to normal. Congrats on the quick loss.

I'm experiencing what oakmitch described in terms of my skeleton being bigger (and I lost 35 lbs in the first two weeks but still have another 19 to lose; that's what i get for following Dr. Luke's guidelines <_< ) ... glad to hear there's hope that it will eventually return to normal. Iwas wondering if my pre-preg clothes would ever fit again or if I'd have to try to scrounge up the $$ for a whole new wardrobe!

Woohoo.. good for you! I too, lost all my weight almost instantly.. but that doesn't make up for the 'twin skin'. I fit into all my pre-preg clothes.. but with a pouch. I guess you have to take the good with the bad sometimes!

Wow can I just say I am jealous! Give your body time, if you have lost the weight it will slowly go back to something resembling its old shape! It's going to take longer than a week though, it took 9 months for your belly to get that big! It took mine a year.

Congrats on losing all of the pregnancy weight. I lost the pregnancy weight quickly too, but I have extra weight that I've had before pregnancy that I am trying to lose. As for the belly, that may never return to normal since it was stretched to "cover" two babies. My twinskin definitely makes my belly extra poochier (if that's a word).

I lost all of the weight in the first 2-3 weeks also, but the clothes told a very different story!

This is not odd at all. It takes six weeks or so for your uterus to shrink back to its former size. Also, I noticed my tummy slimming down the entire first year after I gave birth.

Same thing here- I lost all 30 lbs I gained, plus 5 more within one week of giving birth. However now 8 months later, my body (particularly my stomach) is still bigger than before. I wear my old jeans, but they definitely don't look as good as they used to! I am hoping by May I have lost some more weight and feel more comfortable in my own skin :) GL!

Same here, I lost all my baby weight and more within the first couple of weeks. In fact they had a hard time believing I'd had twins when my babies were in the NICU.
