Is this teething?

For the past two weeks or so, the amount of drool is amazing. Both boys have had their hands stuck in their mouth. David has been stuck to me like glue for 4 days. I cannot put him down to take care of Jonathan because he screams. Last night, both boys had a mild fever of 99.5. I gave them some tylenol and they went down for the night.

This morning I was able to get a good look of their gums and they are mildly swollen, but I could be making this up. Isnt 4 months a little young for teeth? My MIL, says that DH had 2 by 4 months....but WOW!

Sounds like it to me. Some babies teeth early.

 

Me too. My cousin's daughter just got her first tooth at 4 months.

 

It's early for teeth, but not crazily so, especially if you husband got teeth early. I'd say it's a good possibility.

 

Sounds like it is! Rylee got her first tooth at 4.5 months and her second at 5 months. Liam still has nothing! :lol:

 

my first boy was born with a tooth just at the surface - called an embroynic tooth. teeth can come at any age so it's possible.

 

I agree it definately sounds like they are! My girls have been teething since they were 3months old (on and off) and still not a pearly white in sight!!!

 

It's early but not impossible and it definitely sounds like teething to me! :hug: I hope if it is they pop through quickly for them!

 

My girls started teething around that age, but one didn't get teeth till a little after 6 months and the other a little after 8 months.

 

It very well could be teething and like others said, you may not see a tooth for awhile... Motrin also helps a ton! :hug:
