My boys are 14 weeks old. Their last bottle is at 8:30-9 then they are sleeping by 10 but they tend to cry/whine a few times through the night (pacifier falls out, etc.). We then put them in our bed (I know its bad but I need sleep). The thing is they don't eat again until 5:30-6. They are going the long stretch w/out eating but what can I do about them waking up periodically? Should I let them CIO? Help!

Hi there. My twins are jsut a couple weeks older than yours and they go from 7p to 7a but I would definitely consider 9p to 5a sleepign through the night. Matthew tends to whine a little durign the night but we let him CIo and he usually falls right back alseep within a few mins.

That is an amazing amount of sleep to be getting then. We were lucky if we got 5 hrs at a time. I would consider that STTN, but don't have any advice for paci fallouts. We STILL deal with those about once a week.

definitely sttn. Paci, we just replaced. Eventually they may drop it on their own. You could let them cry, after 5 minutes they would probably stop. Worth a try IMO.

Definitely STTN in my opinion. My twin girls started sleeping through the night (10 pm-6 or 7 am) at five weeks. We, too, dealt with the paci fallouts for a few weeks after that. If I were you, I'd definitely try to let them CIO. I'd let them cry for 5 or 6 minutes and most likely that will work within a few nights. If they continue to cry, I'd get up and replace the paci.

As for the paci issue, its so weird... my girls both wanted that paci to go to sleep at night (or naps for that matter) until they were about 2.5 months old and then all of the sudden, they didn't act like they knew what it was anymore. Unless you are dependant on the paci, there is that slight bit of hope for you too. But yes, I'd see if they could get themselves back to sleep within a few minutes before you get to replace the beloved paci.

Good luck. Sounds like they are doing great!! :silly:

Sounds like they are sleeping great, especially for 14 weeks! :woo:

They are doing great. Jake was doing the same thing with the paci, and I kept re-inserting it until he was 6 months. At that point, I let him CIO. IMO, 3.5 months is too young for CIO. Hang in there momma.

:clapping: Hooray for sleep! It sounds like STTN to me and I agree with Becky, I would not start CIO until they are 6 months old. It sounds like they are doing great!

Sounds great to me. I would keep doing the paci insert at 14 weeks. Too young to CIO IMO.
