Just wondering if anyone has any tricks for helping this. I was thinking maybe soak them in cold water or something? It doesn't help anymore to lay down. Any ideas are welcome!

I would soak in cold water. I assume you are swollen! I had "Fred and Barney Rubble" as my feet at the end of my pregnancy. Take a picture next to something (of your feet) that you can take another after shot of them when the swelling goes down. I never got a good one and I wish I could see the difference now! :)

eta: DUH!! The biggest thing I did (albeit temporary relief) was to float in the pool. It helped the fluid return to the sack and when I got out, my feet swelling had gone down dramatically. It came back, but it was nice for a while!

I soak my hands in ice water in the evening. I put them in for about 1-2 min and then go and sit with them over my head while I watch TV. I do this 3-5 times before bed. It helps.

With my feet it really helps me to just lay or sleep on my left side with my feet elevated a bit.

I wish wish wish I had access to a pool.

oooh - I had that bad. soaking and keeping my feet elevated helped a little but I never did find anything that really made it "better" - i wish I had! i had to wait about 3 weeks after delivery to find my old feet again

I asked my peri about swelling and he said elevation will NOT help the swelling. He said make sure to have plenty of fluids in you, cold water soaks work and honestly it wouldn't go away until a while after delivery. He said it's because less blood gets to the legs, it goes to the babies instead, thus you swell. I never had swelling with my son during the pregnancy, but after, holy cow. I have had swelling with the twin pregnancy

I totally feel for you and your poor feet! My toes looked like Jimmy Dean sausages the last month of my pregnancy! I took ice packs and tied them to the top of my feet with my husbands socks and lay down for a while. Sounds and looks funny, but it sure took the swelling down. Just remember that it's not going to be like that forever:)

Plenty of fluids and try to circulate them when you are resting so they don't get too stiff. Cold soaks and make sure you get your bp checked just in case.
