Is there a way to "double" lock the dishwasher?

Our dishwasher has a latch that you pull across to lock it, right before you turn it on. My DS however has figured out how to unlock it, thereby allowing him to open the dishwasher and remove items. He of course only does this when I run to the bathroom or to get the car, forgetting that he knows how to do this.
Is there a way to double lock it? Or does anyone use tape? What kind?
    Any advice is great! thanks

DUH! We have this same problem, I never thought there was a way to childproof it. I'm going to order the BRU locks. We also have a problem with our pantry doors, they are sliding doors, the same as on our bedroom closets. Does anybody know if they will work on that type of door? Hannah loves to get in the pantry, takes as many things out as she can before she is busted and restack them on the kitchen floor. Natalie tries to snag something to eat whenever she gets a chance (yes, we do feed her ;) )

This works great for us! We mounted it under the counter.

I tried the one pictured above and wasn't all that impressed. I like the Multi Purpose appliance latches by Parents (Walmart & Target sell them for about $2.50).

We have them on our toilets, frig, dishwasher, sliding shower doors, and bathroom garbage cans (with lids)...I don't know what I'd do without those things.

I just wanted to add that I think the oven lock is attached with a sticky adhesive. That didn't work for us, so we screwed it in under the counter. It is still going strong!

I keep a gate in our kitchen for now. It means NO coming in our kitchen. We do have child proof for gas stove, cabinet (some of them) because we have a single cabinet by the desk. We have not yet did the drawers and will get them this weekend.

I did test a few times w/the twins in our kitchen. One thing my son LOVE to do is push the water filter from the fridge. He can reach that high UP with tiptoe. He is now trying to figure how to turn the knob on the dishwasher. But not have learn to open the dishwasher yet, not ever -- I hope! We have an older dishwasher so it is not a fancy one. I know most fancy dishwasher have button. Have yours learn to press it? I just know we will need a new dishwasher soon.

    This is a good post!
