We went to my dh's grandma's house where the following conversation transpired:
Great Aunt directed to grandma: Can you tell them apart?
Grandma: Sure, this baby's name starts with an A (points at one), and this baby's name starts with a C (points at other).
    MIL: Ummm...their names don't begin with an A or a C.
My babies' names are Manda and Sydney, and no one over age 50 can get it right. They all seem to be under the impression their names are, Amanda and Cindy. Is there some way we can make it easier for them, I mean I even gave them printed pictures which I added their name to the top corner and they still get it wrong. Any suggestions?

I don't have any advice, but that made me chuckle, sounds just like something my grandma would say. [IMG]

[IMG] Maybe you could get shirts made that say "Manda- not Amanda" and "Sydney- not Cindy" then again that would mean they had to get out the reading glasses... [IMG]...seriously, I live in the blue-hair capital of the world, you will probably have to grin and bear it cause once an elderly person gets something stuck in their head it's really hard to change them.

[IMG] My great aunt thinks the boys are named James and JOHN. It will take a miracle before she beleives otherwise!

LOL! Reminds me of my 90-something grandma from Germany. She could *not* say Kevin (her first greatgrandchild, my ds) to save her life. Her second GGC came along (Laurel, my brother's dd) and she couldn't say that either. The 3rd came along (my cousin's dd) and they named her Emma. Grandma gushed about what a nice name that was LOL! It was too funny. She was so cute about it, sort of embarrassed that she couldn't pronounce Kevin and Laurel.
