    My two year old has a nasty chest cold and alot of family/friends have been sick with colds. I am wondering if anyone has asked their doctor if it's advisable to take extra vitamin C or those new "Airborne" supplements to head off a cold. Thanks.

    I posted about taking Emergen-C a few days ago. A poster said Airborne is unsafe b/c of the high levels of vitamin A, but she said her doc Ok'd Emergen-C I think. Do a search for that thread...she had some good info.

    The Airborne says on it to consult a doctor before use if you are BF. If you are not BF, then it should be fine. My mom uses it and says it works

    Not sure about the Airborne, but my OB had me take extra C. Stay well! [IMG]

    I would call your doc and see what would be ok to take to boost your immune system and hopefully ward off any illness.

    This is the warning on Airborne;

    Warnings
    As with all dietary supplements, pregnant women or people on medication should consult physician before taking. Sealed with a tamper evident cap for your protection.
