To have a really bad dinner feeding and still have everyone sleep through the night? Dinner was awful tonight and I couldn't force them to eat so I finally gave up. They ate a little more than half of the norm. I am bracing myself for a middle of the night wake up due to hunger. If they sleep through, I will be so excited!!!

Absolutely! They are at the age now that you can start looking at their overall intake over a week or so instead of daily. Most likely, they will just make up for it tomorrow!

Ditto what Becky said. Emma is my big eater and I have sent her to bed twice without dinner and she slept just fine. Of course, I'm not sure I slept so well, worried that my baby was hungry.

oh yeah! actually, it happened last night!! we were at the mall so decided to just eat there, and celia did fine, but lincoln was a BOOGER and barely ate a thing. i think in total he had 3 small bites of strawberry and a french fry. a VERY crabby camper. he did drink his full cup of milk at home before bed, but slept great. in fact was hard to wake up this morning!! so don't bank on a bad night- it may be ok!

Yep, Becky's right (as usual). My boys will eat like hogs some nights and nuns the rest of the time.

Yup, I have to agree with these very smart women who posted ahead of me! There are some nights that my two barely eat any dinner and still sleep through the night. It's been going on for months now. Some days are just better then others.

Was not a great night, could have been worse but they still woke up during the night for a bit. I really hope tonights dinner and sleeping is better (related or not) I have a cold and could really use a night without being woken up!
