I posted earlier about CIO but anyway I've put Ashley in her swing - at 11;35pm, and normally she wakes up around 6am, will it be ok to leave her in the swing for so many hours? I'm just so tired with her constant waking up.....

    If it works... it works.

Zack slept in his bouncy chair for the first 7 months of his life, with the vibrator thingy on... I was constantly having to replace it, LOL

There were a few nights when Jack slept in the swing at night, but not every night.

Honestly I would not have made it through the first ten months of Beth's life without the cradle swing and a stocked supply of D batteries!!!!!! My first son was the same way..I just put the swing in our room and let her rock..there was the odd night I had both in the swings....whatever works is right!!

I do the same thing! I put James in his swing around the same time you do and he sleeps there all night - he doesn't sleep well otherwise! I just get him out once in the middle of the night and change his diaper - just gives him a chance to stretch.

I know my peditrican recommended James sleep in his bouncer or even carseat for his reflux... so I'm sure it's fine :)
We had both them in their bouncers for a while last night-momma and daddy need sleep too :)

I wouldn't worry about the habit -- but as they get past 6 months, you want to make very sure that if she happened to wake up, she couldn't somehow get out of the swing. When mine got mobile, I wasn't comfortable leaving them in the swing unattended all night long. (They did still sleep in bouncy seats occasionally at that age, or I would put their infant carriers in the cribs -- especially when they had colds.)

One slept in the bouncy seat for weeks, though my pedi recommended the noggin nest so her head wouldn't get a flat spot.

The boys have slept in their papasan chairs at night for 3 months. Only now are we starting to transition them out of them and that's only because they are outgrowing them! Whatever works!

You have to survive using whatever means necessary.
We used swings and vibrating seats for as long as they worked.
Now we bring them to bed with us when we need a break.
    If it works...it works.

for a while the swing was the ONLY place Mason would sleep, and as long as he was sleeping and somewhere safe thats where i let him sleep.

My boys have not slept one night in their crib or co-sleeper yet. Once in a while they will nap in their pack-n-play but Jack is sleeping in his papisan with the vibrator and James is sleeping in his swing right now. They always sleep in those, they wouldn't sleep otherwise. I have heard that if it works it works! :D

Please, please just be careful to make sure her head isn't in the same position all the time. My baby has flat head and I blame it on the swing.
