Is it OK for them to sleep in the papasan while I sleep?

My DS seems to have bad gas...we just got some mylecon drops so we'll see if that works...and the only thing that seems to help is putting him in the baby papasan. Is it safe for them to sleep in, or do they need to be supervised? He just can stand to be laid down flat most of the time, so needless to say I didn't get any sleep last night! Hoping tonight goes better...would appreciate your experiences.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Have you tried the car seat? That works for my boys when it hurts to lie flat. [IMG]

I used to let my boys sleep in the papasan swing and I would nap at the same time. At first I was nervous but the swing was in my room. Then some mornings when one of the boys was to get up early, they would go in the swing until it was time to wake up. They would usually fall back asleep pretty quickly and that gave me a few more zzzz's. We can't use it anymore since the boys have discovered they can grab the mobile . [IMG]

At this age, let them sleep anywhere they want- the bouncer, the carseat, the swing. As long as they're in there good and aren't in danger of sliding out, I wouldn't worry about it. It's not until a bit later (4-6 months) that you should think about trying to transition them to the crib. If they can sleep a bit, so can you. You need your rest when you can get it.

The Baby Papasan saved us!! Our boys often slept in there until they were able to try to sit up. At the age of your babies, definately use it!!!

When mine didn't lay flat, I put them in their swings or bouncies... those were safe places...

    Good Luck!

Mine sleep in their swings all the time. I just make sure they are securely strapped in. Often if I'm sleeping I have the swing in my room as well though. We wouldn't have slept much, especially in the early days, but even now without the swings.

SLEEP is the priority at this age for everyone! [IMG]
