Is it just me...

Is this happening everywhere or just in the Northeast ? All of a sudden the big box is $5 more a piece.

I got an e-mail from diapers.com about the price of diapers going up (they did not say why) and that in order to keep the diaper prices low they are discontinuing their diapers rewards points program. Bummer. It's not like diapers are a luxury item...

It's not just diapers. When the cost of fuel went up, everything went up - from the manufacturing aspect, to the transporting, my grocery bill doubled when gas went to $3.00 a gallon and yes I noticed the diaper price because it was so significant. I buy my own pampers, formula, food, clothes etc for my house so it's a significant portion of my grocery bill. I've already started stocking up on newborns and size 1's for the new baby due in August. I hope the boys will train early but I understand it takes longer with boys than with girls.

I haven't seen it on the diapers yet (we get them at Costco, and are in two different sizes!), but I've noticed it on food and other things at the grocery store!

I am so mad about this diaper price increase. Both Kimberly Clark and Proctor & Gamble are supposedly reporting record breaking sales figures, yet they still increase the price of diapers? They know we have to buy them, so they know they can bump the price because most people probably won't switch. I think Proctor & Gamble also makes Luvs and the price of Luvs supposedly isn't jumping, so explain that one. So frustrating!

I just bought diapers today at Costco and paid exactly the same as I always have. No price jump at Costco (yet).

I've noticed recently that diaper prices went from $18.51 to $18.99 to $19.99 and are now $21.99 at Wal-Mart (and thats for the boxes of Huggies)....the sad part is we've just gone to size 5s and there are only 64 in the box!

I have only noticed 1-2.00 jump. Which is enough since i think diapers are crazy anyway.

Ditto this exactly! IMO that's a HUGE jump!
