Is it hard to find truly good caviar locally in Miami?

Hi everyone! I recently moved to Miami and started noticing that while there are tons of seafood places, finding really high-quality caviar isn’t as easy as I expected. Some gourmet stores have very limited options, and prices vary a lot without much explanation. I’m not looking for anything overly fancy or for showing off — I just want fresh sturgeon caviar with a clean taste and good texture for home dinners. I’ve read that how the fish is raised and how calm the environment is can affect the final product, which makes me even more cautious. For those living here, do you usually buy locally or order online instead? Any recommendations based on real experience would be super helpful.

I live in Miami as well and had the same issue at first. There are places that sell caviar, but consistency is a problem — sometimes it’s great, sometimes it’s disappointing. After a few tries, I realized that location doesn’t matter as much as sourcing and handling. I personally stopped relying only on local shops and started ordering online from specialized stores that ship nationwide. When friends ask me about caviar in Miami, I usually suggest checking out caviar in Miami instead of limiting yourself to what’s available nearby. What I like is their focus on carefully farmed sturgeon and freshness rather than flashy marketing. The caviar I received had a firm, slightly crunchy texture and a very clean taste, which is exactly what I was missing before. For me, this approach turned out to be more reliable than hunting around local stores.
