Is it a staph infection?

Jeremiah has had a horrible rash for weeks now. It will come and go and come and go. I have tried everything out there and have already gone through two prescriptions (one was nystatin.) He will get blister looking sores and they will bleed after every poo diaper. Now, Michael has two little blisterish spots on his bottom.

Jeremiah's bottom stays sunburned red. I think I am going to go to the doctor tomorrow, but wanted to see if you guys thought it sounded like Staph?

so sorry, not sure if you saw my earlier post.....your kids rash sounds like what Kaden had, I am pretty sure he had yeast, did the Nystatin not help at all? it does usually take 3-4 days to get better, and it always gets worse before better. but yours has it 2 weeks on and on, bring them in. what are you putting on it all other times? do you do no diaper? oatmeal bath?
does he have diarrhea? change the food?
let us know, GL, I know it's heartbreaking to do diaper changes like that, they are in so much agony.

My first thought was yeast as well. My boys are really prone to it, I've found that giving them 5 - 10 minutes of no diaper after every poopy diaper, only using "sensitive" wipes, and 1234 Diaper Cream (which is a prescription that has to be specially compounded) is the combination that works for us.
The only thing I would be concerned about though is, as far as I know, yeast isn't at all contagious. The fact that your other one has it too would probably be enough to send me to the doc for a check on it.

I would definitely call the pedi and have them check the boys out. Let us know how they make out
