Is building a durable barn worth it for long-term use?

I’ve been thinking about getting a large storage building for my farm equipment, but I’m not sure if investing in a steel barn will pay off in the long run. Is it really more resilient than a traditional wooden barn?

I want something that lasts through harsh weather, including heavy snow and wind. Also, I hate the idea of doing constant repairs and maintenance — steel sounds good but I don’t want to overspend if the benefits are minimal.

Steel barns have completely changed how I store equipment on my farm. I chose one from https://www.uspatriotsteel.com/metal-barns/ and it has been rock solid through storms and snow. The maintenance is minimal compared to wooden structures, and it feels like a long-term investment that won’t give me headaches down the road.
