Is anyone else NOT terribly uncomfortable?

I'm nearly 35 weeks and I keep waiting to get horribly uncomfortable, but it hasn't happened yet. My belly is not all that big (even though I've gained 45 pounds), I'm not really having trouble breathing or getting around, I have no heartburn, constipation, indigestion, or painful contractions, and I sleep like a zombie (except when I'm getting up to pee) ...

Don't get me wrong, I am very thankful to have had it so easy, and I am not trying to rub it in! ;) But I feel so normal it's almost making me worry! It seems like most of you ladies are SO uncomfortable toward the end. Maybe it's because my babies are small? Baby A unfortunately has been diagnosed with IUGR and is only 4 lbs (baby B is 5 lbs). I am also pretty tall (over 5' 8"), which I hear can help. And I'm on modified bedrest so I spend most of my day laying down ... when I do sit or stand it's admittedly not the most comfortable thing ever.

Anyone else have a similar story? I guess I'm just looking for reassurance that everything is fine and I'm not a freak of nature. (Yes, that's me - if there's nothing to worry about, I'll create something ...) :)

I am so happy for you that you are feeling good and not uncomfortable. I on the other hand suffer from everything that you listed and have been since 25 wks, I am 29 wks now. I wish I could be as lucky as you! I am so jealous ;)

    Oh no, I'm so sorry!

I tried so hard to write my post in a way that wouldn't be absolutely infuriating to all of you who are feeling yucky, but reading it over again, I fear I may have failed. :( Anyway, I hope you all understand what I'm getting at. I've just been so worried about our daughter's IUGR that I can't help but wonder if it's all related.

Hugs. I'm a bit uncomfortable, but I think it could be a lot worse at this point. Sorry about your baby's IUGR; I'd probably be a little worried, too!

Of course we understand!!! :D . And all though Im ready to throw in the towel, I am very happy that you are feeling so good. Im not an expert on IUGR but I don't think one has anything to do with the other. As moms we will worry oursleves to death!!! I remember the first time my fisrt child slept through the night at 6 weeks. For 6 weeks her and I did not sleep at ALL. So, that first night, the night I should have been so releaved and slept myself, I sat up outside her bedroom listening to her. When she did finally wake-up after about 6 hrs I jumped up to get her releaved that she was finally awake!!! Hang in there!

I'm sorry about the IUGR - but don't stress about feeling good!! Feeling good is a good sign :D

My water broke at 37w0d and I felt just fine right up until the end. Now I was peeing constantly and moving at the speed of a turtle, but I was really lucky and it didn't seem much different than my singleton pregnancy. That may have been because I was working a ton of hours for an evil boss with my oldest and with the twins I was at home relaxing with my DD ;)

I am actually not as uncomfortable at this point as I was with my first set. My back hurt much more with them and also my legs and my feet were horribly painful when I walked. I was sure something else was wrong. This time I don't have the foot pain, which I am so thankful for and my back has just now started to "catch" which is really painful, but still nothing like before. I do have worse heartburn this time, but it's not something that I complain about much. I really can't believe that I am this far and still feeling pretty well either considering last time. I am getting more and more frequent contractions and some are getting painful so I really don't think I have all that much longer to go anyway....oh and this time, I only gained 20 pounds (don't know how?) where last time I gained about 45.

I hope it continues to go well for you!

I only made it to 34w6d but I felt FINE too. I was running around at work until the day they admitted me for pre-e. I never even noticed how sick I was getting. Whatever you're doing - keep it up.

My girls were 4.4 and 4.14 at birth. So tiny but they did just fine. I hope your IUGR baby continues to grow big and strong.

While the twins were another story, I wasn't uncomfortable in the slightest at nearly 42 weeks with my 9 lb 9 oz singleton and he weighed more than my twins combined. Every pregnancy is different so it's wonderful that you're feeling good at 35 weeks. :D

I am 35w3d and I still feel pretty decent most of the time but I can totally tell I am on the decline. Most days are pretty good and I am still able to go out and do small shopping trips, after 2 hours I'm usually done, but some days aren't so great and I am just tired and want to lay around. I've got quite a few physical issues, sometimes I feel like I'm getting everything in the book, they haven't stopped me yet. I'm just shy of 60lb weight gain and my tummy is huge. I know it could be worse so I am very happy with the way my pregnancy has progressed. I think that because this is my first pregnancy I don't know what the difference is or otherwise I might be more miserable knowing what its like to only be carrying one.

I'm glad to hear you're doing well! Keep up the good work mama :D

I'm a bit behind you at 32 weeks but still feeling pretty good here as well. Once in awhile my feet swell or I get a backache or something but it's not so bad. The worst was the HEARTBURN but my Dr. prescribed some Zantac so even that's not a problem anymore. I feel lucky. My pregnancy with my daughter was much the same way... textbook, nothing ever went wrong. I guess I'm just good at this growing babies thing? LOL!

Thanks girls for the input, I'm glad I'm not alone. And don't get me wrong - I definitely have swollen hands and feet, joint and vaginal pain, a baby's bum permanently lodged in my ribs, and I get up to pee at least 6 times per night. So it hasn't ALL escaped me.

Watch, as penance for this post my last 3 weeks of pregnancy I will probably be absolutely miserable! LOL :)
